Cellar Reserve
This is an effort to give back to bars. Things can be tough right now, and here are the initiatives I am running to make your life a bit easier.
Bars are amazing places to learn more about whisky or drinks in general, and getting to know other people (with or without the passion for the drinks). More than just the alcohol, it’s an environment I have always came back to in order to enrich myself either mentally or socially. And here is to those making that possible, hopefully showing others the glory of a great bar.
The Reserve Program
Simply put, I will reserve a bottle to keep at your bar. It’s not a very cheap way of doing things on my end, but if it keeps a gem of bar open, I am all for it.
I get a bottle which is still a better deal than the individual pours, a great connection to the bar, and the knowledge that I have something sitting around in the bar when I come down next.
Bar keeps get a bit of additional cash flow, and if I think it’s really worthwhile I will try and post up for some publicity as well.
Any Asian bar can contact me on the Contact page with the offer for a reserved bottle, what your relationship with whisky is, and whether or not you would be willing to be featured on the website (and if you are, please prepare an image). I will contact you to discuss details.
The Reversed Reserve Program
I aim to buy interesting expressions, labels, and other items which go out of the core range of a particular whisky distilling company. If you are representing a bar that is interested in displaying these bottles or reselling them where you think you can do it at a good price, let me know through the means highlighted earlier. There are certain commercials that need to be discussed in detail, and for the time being the program will be restricted to Hong Kong but I would be keen on opening this up to any place worth travelling to in Asia.
The requirement would be that we agree on commercials, and that you allow me to post a feature of your bar should you so choose. However, given that I keep quiet on my core investments, what you are reserving from me will not be disclosed.
